I am Wesley Greer and I am a freelance musician in the Louisville, Kentucky area. I have played in two countries and am currently playing in cover bands and teaching with the Louiville Leopard Percussionists. I have also recorded original content with WVU and uPgroove music. About Wesley
Wesley Greer is a freelance drummer and hand percussionist from Rockville, Maryland. He has graduated from West Virginia University with a BM in Jazz Studies and worked with the WVU combos and WVU Big Band extensively. In addition to playing with the school, Wesley has worked with local cover bands and churches from West Virginia.
Since playing from 5th grade, Wesley has had experience teaching privately and has taught at the Newport Jazz Camp in Rhode Island. He hopes to open up his own teaching studio where he can teach percussion to people eager to learn.
Wesley can be found playing on Celebrating 40 Years of Jazz by The West Virginia University Jazz Ensemble; soon to be released Jocassee by Tanner Davis; and later this fall with the WVU World Music Ensembles. Wesley has also played in the Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival with the WVU Big Band, the West Virginia Wine and Jazz Festival with WVU combos, and the Thailand International Jazz Conference with WVU combos.
